STANDARD DAYCARE PROCEDURES FOR PARENTS
(In alphabetical order)
Please inform the daycare of any change of address, telephone or cell phone number, so we can reach you anytime in an emergency, school or daycare closure.
The daycare technician takes attendance every day. Parents must sign out before taking their child out of daycare. This is obligatory for safety reasons. There is no possibility to pick up a child at the office instead of Daycare; you will have to wait until the last bus leaves the school and then you may pick up your child from daycare.
After 18h00, a late fee will be charged at the rate of $1.00 for every minute late. This fee will be added to the monthly bill charged to parents, and the parent will be requested to sign a late slip confirming the date and time of pick-up.
Should you have complaints, concerns or comments, please do not hesitate to contact the daycare technician or the principal.
Should the school or daycare close during the day due to an emergency situation, parents will be contacted immediately, in order to pick up their children as soon as possible.
Should the school close because of inclement weather, it is the parents' r esponsibility to consult the school board web site (www.swlauriersb.qc.ca) as the predominant source of information.
There will be a homework period every day after school. Daycare educators will assist the students. However, homework completion, follow-up and agenda signatures remain the responsibility of the parents.
Pedagogical days may be spent in the school or on a field trip. Cafeteria services are not available during pedagogical days. Therefore, please ensure your child has a complete lunch for that day. As these pedagogical days require a great deal of planning and organization, we ask you for your support in carefully discussing, with your child, some simple rules and regulations sent with the registration forms for these special activity days.
As places on the bus are limited, registration for these pedagogical days will be on a first come first serve basis. Please be prompt in returning the registration forms sent home for these events befor e the deadline indicated.
Please be advised that r egistr ation will not be accepted on the morning of the field trip.
Pedagogical days are non-refundable. The base fee for these days is $16.50 + transportation and/or activity fees where applicable
Per child $16.50 + activity fees $16.50 + activity fees
Only parents, guardians or adults registered on the registration forms are permitted to pick their children from the daycare. If this is not possible, parents must inform the daycare technician in writing or by calling (450) 621-7805 ext. 3. Change of your schedule is allowed only twice a year, at Christmas & March Break.
Emergency change to your schedule will be approved only by the Principal. Notes in the agenda will not be accepted on demand, a phone call must be placed and received by the Principal.
Keep in mind that the school follows the School Board transportation policy in place since 2008. See our web site for the entire policy.
Please note, the invoice will be sent out via e-mail bi-weekly, payment due a week later. Payments can be made by cash or on line payment.
Tax receipts will be issued in February for every child registered in daycare. The receipt will cover the fees paid by parents from January to December of the previous year. Provincial amounts will include material and supplies ONLY.
Federal amounts will include ALL fees charged.
